Trekking
DAY 01: ARRIVAL TO ADDIS ABABA
Arrival at Bole international Airport (Addis Ababa) where you will be assisted by Exotic Ethiopia tours and Travel representative and transferred to Hotel.
DAY 02: ADDIS – GONDAR
In the morning fly to Gonder over the rolling country side and scenic landscapes. After check in to the hotel visit 17thC castles of the Gondrian Kings which is also known as African Camelot and it is the site of ancient Castle building palaces of different emperors constructed in the European middle age architectural style, and also visit Emperor Fasil’s swimming pool, which is still in use for the Temket ( the Ethiopian Epiphany) festival held every January 19. You will also visit Debere Brehan Silassie church which is rich in icon paintings that depict the old and the new testament of the bible. Overnight Hotel In Gondar.
DAY 03: GONDAR – SANKA BER
Drive to Sankaber the first camp site and commonly known as aclamization camp for the altitude. You will have sightseeing to the nearby view points and camp for overnight.
DAY 04: SANKABER – GEECH
In the morning start trekking to Geech. The fascinating scenery of Semien Mountain’s view, the troop of Gelada baboon (endemic to Ethiopia) and different species of plants are worth to be visited. Overnight Camping at Geech camp site.
DAY 05: GEECH – CHENEK
After having breakfast, this morning you will continue trekking through the Simien mountains most top three viewpoints ;Emet gogo , Kedadit and Enatiye. Along the way you will appreciate the different afro alpine plant species and birds as well. Overnight camping at chenek.
DAY 06: CHENEK – AMBIKO
This day’s trekking would cover the distance through the breathtaking landscape from chenek to Ambiko. Birds like Lammergeyer, fan tailed raven, thick billed raven, vulturine guinefaul and animal species like Klipspringer, Walia Ibex, and Ethiopian wolves are worth to be visited. Overnight Camping in Ambico campsite.
DAY 07: AMBILICO – RASSDASHEN – AMBIKO
Eearly morning trek from Ambico to Rasdashen, the highest peak to Ethiopia with height of 4620 meters above sea level. Return for your overnight to Ambico camp site.
DAY 08: AMBIKO – CHENEK
Trek back from Ambiko to chenek.
DAY 09: CHENEK – GONDAR
Drive back to Gondar for overnight. Overnight Hotel in Gonder.
DAY 10: ADDIS – DEPARTURE
Fly back to Addis (City tour can be arranged). Evening, you will have traditional fare well party and departure Home.

DAY 02: DRIVE TO BALE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast Drive to Bale Goba the Head quarter of the national is found . You will be welcomed and introduced to your trekking guide and scout. Easy afternoon around the national park and you may have a chance to spot some endemic animals such as: Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. The area is also paradise for bird lovers. Overnight Camping in Bale Goba (easy walk 2 h around the camp).
DAY 03: TREKKING TO ADELAY
On this day you will be trek from Dinsho to the woodland part of the national park. You will have a chance to spot endemic birds and mammals of Ethiopia. The area has an amazing natural beauty. (5-6 hrs walk 18 km. Overnight camping. 3,400masl.)
DAY 04: TREKKING TO SODOTA
Trek from Adelay to Sodota .Beside the outstanding scenery this day you will have a chance to see the rarest and endemic Mamal the Ethiopian wolf and lots of prey birds. After having a nice rest at the ‘Habera’ waterfall proceed to Sodota campsite for overnight. (3,500masl. 6-7 hrs walk 20km.)
DAY 05: TREKKING TO WASEMA
Trek to Wasema through a beautiful landscape with stunning views. Pass through Mararo Valley where the Lammergeyer and Verraux Eagles keep nests. Overnight Camping. (3,900masl 5-6 hrs walk 18 km)
DAY 06. TREKKING TO RAFU
Today trek will take you through a beautiful landscape. Close to Rafu you will enjoy panoramic view of Rafu Rock pillars which are caused by volcanic lava flow. (5-6 hrs walk 18 km. Overnight Camping 4,000masl) Overnight Camping.
DAY 07: TREKKING TO SANNETI
Morning after breakfast start the hike and pass through the Second highest point of Ethiopia Tullu Deemtu (4377 masl) .The vehicle will pick us up and we will be driveling back to Bale Goba for overnight.
DAY 08: ADDIS ABABA
After breakfast drive back to Addis Ababa . After lucnch you may visit the Mercato for some shoping and late evening you will have a farewell dinner and Departure home.
